A quick-release bolus that improves digestive function and stool consistency. The preparation contains a high concentration of tannins. Tannins have astringent properties in relation to the epithelium of the digestive tract. They increase the integrity of the intestines and block the adhesion of pathogenic microorganisms to the walls of the intestine. They also have a positive effect on the rumen microflora and its enzymatic activity, reducing the digestibility of protein and fibre and limiting methanogenesis. They reduce the population of Streptococcuc bovis, responsible for the development of rumen acidosis. Tannins have also complexing properties, binding metals and toxins. In addition, they have antiviral, antibacterial, antiprotozoal and antioxidant effects and stimulate the proliferative activity of enterocytes.
